Contemporary history and communication: the post-conflict situation in the Balkans, a conference organized within the framework of the United Nations Year of Dialogue among Civilizations by the International Association of South-East European Studies (AIESEE) at UNESCO Headquarters from 1 to 3 March 2002.

Following the first meeting of South-East European intellectuals entitled South-East Europe: a Crossroads of Culture (Paris, 1998), this UNESCO-supported meeting brought together well-known scholars and experts from the region in order to build bridges of confidence between the different communities of South-East Europe.
