UNESCO’s proposed action in
South-East Europe is spelt out in a policy paper entitled “Cooperation between
UNESCO and its South-East European Member States: a Strategic Approach”,
prepared by an internal Task Force set up in November 2000. This document sets
out a number of interdisciplinary and inter-State project proposals to be
implemented in partnership with other agencies active in the region.
This strategy paper served as a working document for the Conference.
