To actively participate in the creation of a European conscience. To develop knowledge in European affairs and inform public opinio of the activities of European institutions. To facilitate access, through all possible means, for its members to European sources of information. To encourage mutual knowledge and understanding about the problems of each country. To promote the moral and material status of journalists, particularly in the framework of the European Union and the Council of Europe. Priority issues: journalism, media, Europe.

Participation in the International Conference on Freedom of Expression in Cyberspace, organized by UNESCO’s Sector of Communication and Information, which will take place at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, from 3 to 4 February 2005.
