Aims
  To advance the living standards and education of women and their families. To foster friendship among women around the world. To work to alleviate misery and poverty. To protect and preserve health. To further equal opportunities for women by eliminating discrimination based on gender, race, nationality, religion or marital status.
Activities
  ACWW supports a whole range of development programmes in rural communities through its Projects and Trust Funds: leadership and skill-training, nutrition/education projects, literacy and basic education programmes (including family planning and HIV/AIDS awareness), small business initiatives and small-scale agricultural, income-generating schemes. For examples: 'Water for All' Fund, 'Women Feed the World' Fund, 'Women in Development' programme, Capacity-building workshops in Kenya, Colombia, the Philippines.
In 2003, 20 new development projects were funded worldwide, like computer and literacy training project, skills training project, nutrition project, on AIDS, water and sanitation project, etc… In 2005, 32 new development projects were funded worldwide. In 2007, 25 new development projects were funded in Bangladesh, Burundi, Cameroun, Guyana, Inde Kenya, Lesotho, Pakistan, Romania, Uganda and Zambia.
